The APS-C sized sensor on the Apx26 is perfect for astrophotography. The sensor matches well with most telescopes, allowing for sharp and round stars all the way to the edge of the image. The small Atik Apx26 form factor ensures that the camera fits well on any telescope and mount configuration, including those with the camera front-mounted such as RASA and Hyperstar telescope configurations.

Amp Glow is no longer an issue with new sensors like the IMX571 used in this camera. These sensors are highly sensitive, and produce beautiful, highly detailed images without amplifier glow artifacts.

Other professional features of the Apx26 includes a 512MB image buffer, a built in USB Hub, and a USB 3 connection to your computer ensuring fast data transfers. Adaptation to your telescope is easy with the standard M54 X 0.75 threads built into the camera. The Atik Apx26 is offered in both color and monochrome versions, each sharing the benefits of the highly efficient IMX571 sensor.
